The Hospital La Imnaculada of the North Health Area of Almeria has received a total of 38 students of the Formative Cycle of Technical Training in Auxiliary Nursing Care of the Institute of Secondary Education (IES) Albujaira de Huércal-Overa, through the Teaching Area. A guided tour in which the students have known the premises in which they will carry out the training practices.
The students were able to see the areas of Pharmacy, Pathological Anatomy and Cytodiagnosis, Health Documentation and Administration and Laboratory.
The North Health Management Area of Almeria carries out the practical training of the training cycles of: Technician in Auxiliary Nursing Care, Radiodiagnosis, Pathological Anatomy, Laboratory, Pharmacy, Computer Science and Clinical Documentation.
These internships complete the students’ work training through professional training that cannot be acquired at the educational centre. The theoretical learning of these students is supervised by teachers from the institute, while professionals from the North Health Management Area of Almeria will be responsible for supervising the work placements in the different areas and services of the centre.
The work at the Hospital La Inmaculada will allow students to learn about the organisation of health services and to deepen their professional skills in a hospital, in order to facilitate their future professional integration. Students carry out internships, which will be evaluated jointly by the hospital and the teaching centre.
