The Popular Party of Albox wants to highlight the start of the works through the Regional Ministry of Development, Territorial Planning and Housing of the government of Juanma Moreno for the rehabilitation of regional roads in Albox with an investment of 69,035 euros. These actions are part of the Annual Road Maintenance Investment Programme in the province of Almeria and are necessary for our town.
These are improvement works on the A-334 motorway at junction 68, the start of the Albox bypass and on the A-1204 access road to the municipality. The work began this week and will continue until the first days of March.
The province’s Department of Public Works, headed by Carmen Belén Zapata, has detailed that on the Almanzora dual carriageway, milling and replacement of the intermediate and wearing courses of the roundabouts that make up the junction will be carried out, and on the A-1204, work is scheduled to take place from kilometre point 1+420 to 1+700. According to the delegate, «the work on this second project consists of restoring the original gradient, following the damage caused by the rains in March last year, which led to the partial collapse of the existing embankment, resulting in a steep drop in the gradient of the right-hand lane».
The Regional Development Office has highlighted «the work carried out by the Andalusian Government in terms of roads thanks to the Investment in Conservation Programme, a plan of vital importance for the municipalities of the province in terms of road maintenance and road safety».
For the development of the works, it is necessary to cut the lane and work area as well as the signposting of the actions, the milling of the surfaces necessary for the execution of the joints and the most damaged sections where the road surface is in the worst condition, and the painting of road markings for the replacement of the existing ones.
