Domingo Trabalón calls for an opportunity to get Zurgena out of paralysis and make history together
The PP candidate for mayor says that «we are at an ideal moment to change and correct the mistakes that are being made year after year».

Domingo Trabalón, the Partido Popular candidate for mayor of Zurgena, presented himself to his neighbours this Friday night with great enthusiasm and excitement, a young man with clear ideas who has asked the people of Zurgena for an opportunity to «bring the municipality out of paralysis and make history together».

Trabalón, who was supported by hundreds of residents who filled the Renfe hall, explained that he has decided to take a step forward because he wants to transform his town and for it to grow in the same way as other surrounding municipalities and for this «it is necessary to bring about change in Zurgena».

«We are at an ideal time to correct the mistakes that are being made year after year. We are coming from a period of disinterest on the part of the current government team which has plunged Zurgena into absolute paralysis. We have a municipality with no industrial fabric, with unemployment, which is losing inhabitants and in the PP we are presenting ourselves with a team where personal training and love for our town are paramount,» he said.

Domingo Trabalón outlined some of the proposals in his programme to ensure that Zurgena occupies the place it deserves in the region. Firstly, he highlighted the need for the municipality to have a day centre. He has also opted for a refurbished health centre that meets the needs of the residents, an industrial estate that generates employment and wealth, a roundabout in Los Carasoles, an end to the problems of damp in Chicago and sewage and street lighting in Los Llanos, Palacés, Los Menchones and Cuesta de los Pinos.

The PP candidate has also stressed the need to value the heritage and traditions of Zurgena and of course has indicated that one of the first measures he will adopt if he becomes mayor will be to lower taxes and show that with less money from the residents Zurgena can also be transformed.

Domingo Trabalón expressed his conviction that «a better municipality is possible between all of us» and asked his neighbours to choose on 28-M with their hearts, but also with their heads, thinking about what is best for Zurgena.

Support from the provincial leadership

Together with Domingo Trabalón, the president and secretary general of the PP of Almería, Javier A. García and Ramón Fernández-Pacheco, and the spokesperson of the Andalusian PP, Maribel Sánchez, participated in his presentation. Also in attendance were provincial deputies, Andalusian Government delegates, Andalusian parliamentarians, mayors and councillors from the Almanzora and Levante regions, and candidates from other towns near Zurgena.

Javier A. García emphasised «the desire for change in Zurgena» with a person like Domingo Trabalón, aged 26, who is running with a solid, coherent project, with a broad base in which everyone has a place. For all these reasons, he asked the people of Zurgena to put their trust in this project on 28 May and to place their trust in Domingo, because he is going to put Zurgena in the place it deserves.

«What Domingo wants is for Zurgena, which is the entrance to the Almanzora Valley, to become the living room of the valley where people stay to live, generate employment, create wealth, and for this Domingo does not stop working and asking all the administrations for his town, the same as he will do from the mayor’s office to defend and achieve the best for Zurgena», he explained.

The Secretary General of the PP in Almería, Ramón Fernández-Pacheco, thanked the residents of Zurgena for the support they have given Domingo Trabalón, demonstrating that they also want a change for the town.

Fernández-Pacheco has highlighted the enthusiasm and desire for change with which Domingo is presenting himself to his neighbours, with more experience than four years ago, and with a project with which he wants to transform Zurgena and demonstrate that it is possible to govern without confrontation, without dividing, lowering taxes, helping those who undertake, protecting those who need it, in short, being on the side of the people of Zurgena.

Finally, the spokesperson for the Andalusian PP, Maribel S. Torregrosa, highlighted the enthusiasm of Domingo Trabalón to change his town and stressed that he is «a fighter who wants the best for Zurgena» and that he will always be able to count on a party like the PP that promises what it delivers. In this sense, he recalled the years of non-compliance of the PSOE with the Almanzora motorway and how in little more than a legislature Juanma Moreno is going to make it a reality. Or how he has improved the Hospital de La Inmaculada with an investment of more than three million euros.
