The Carnival of Santiago de la Ribera, one of the last in the Region, said goodbye yesterday, Sunday, in style, with a parade in which more than 1000 people from 33 local and foreign groups took part. The parade was watched by thousands of people, along the Mar Menor avenue, where it passed through to enter the town by the Sandoval avenue, with the participation of groups formed in the school Ntra. Sra. de Loreto, with a mixture of costumes from around the world, or Aidemar and its large group of Indians. The association of housewives of San Pedro del Pinatar, the group of the Senior Citizens Club of La Manga, the Rhythmic Gymnastics club of San Javier who displayed their Lion King, and dance groups such as Yaiza or ballet Kebanna also joined in.
In a parade with a predominance of feathers, glitter and in general with a more elegant carnival aesthetic, the Muses and Queens of Carnival were the main protagonists and the most admired, surrounded by the expected comparsas from the riverside who put the colour and rhythm to a windy but sunny afternoon of carnival.
