Cantoria 2017 drew 1-1 at midday on Sunday against Unión Deportiva San Pedro, a match corresponding to matchday 22 of Group 2 of the Andalusian Division of Honour.
The match was very similar to other encounters where Cantoria put forward a strong physical display but then failed to translate that dominance into goals.
Just at the start of the game, in the 16th minute, Abdou had a cross shot that was deflected by the goalkeeper Antonio.

Danny in the 27th minute fired a shot into the side netting and the crowd screamed for a goal that had not been scored.
San Pedro responded in the 33rd minute, but Alberto cleared a close range header for a corner.
Again Abdou, Cantoria’s in-form striker, could have scored in the 39th minute, but the score remained 0-0 for the first half.
In the second half, Cantoria moved forward and Ricardo Mora brought on Michael. It was the striker who picked up a short session to the goalkeeper Antonio and put Cantoria ahead.
A 1-0 lead that was short-lived, because when the home side smelt blood they went for the second, only three minutes had passed, for Andrés, from outside the area and with some luck, beat Alberto to establish the equality that would remain until the end.
Another draw for the Cantorians with a new team. The absence of the central defenders due to injury forced Ricardo Mora to play with Miguel Castillejo and Agustín as central defenders, while Miguel Ángel continued to play as a front marker.
Runners-up

The start of the match at the Los Olivos municipal ground served to pay tribute to the youngsters who were runners-up in their respective categories at the World Cup for children held last week in Huéscar.
