A man was seriously injured in an accident in the early hours of Friday morning when he collided with a lorry from the car he was driving on the A-91 motorway, near the Murcian municipality of Lorca, where emergency services rescued him from inside the vehicle, treated him and transferred him to the Rafael Méndez hospital.
The ‘1-1-2’ has indicated that it has received calls alerting of the accident at around 5.40 hours, which indicated that there was an injured person trapped inside the crashed car.
Therefore, patrols of the Guardia Civil, firefighters from the Consorcio de Extinción de Incendios y Salvamento de la Región de Murcia (CEIS) and ambulances with medical personnel from the Gerencia de Urgencias y Emergencias Sanitarias 061 were sent to the scene of the accident.
After being rescued by the firefighters, the trapped man was stabilised by the medical staff and transferred with very serious injuries by ambulance to the Rafael Méndez hospital in Lorca.
