The residents of the municipality of Albox are in luck with the inauguration of a new and centrally located shop, SuperPlus. The deputy for Agri-Food Promotion, María Luisa Cruz and the manager of SuperPlus, Daniel Martínez, were responsible for cutting the ribbon in front of a dozen residents who have become the first customers of a supermarket that will be a reference in the Almanzora region.
The opening of this establishment, the only one of its kind in the whole region, is a new opportunity to continue to raise awareness of the products manufactured in the province of Almeria. With this action, the Diputación de Almería, through its gourmet brand, Sabores Almería, highlights the quality of products that have become a great reference inside and outside the province.
The Deputy for Agri-Food Promotion, María Luisa Cruz, stressed that «the ‘Sabores Almería’ brand is there to promote the products of our land and make them known both inside and outside the province because there are still people in Almería who do not know the quality and excellence that Almería produces. This is another example of our commitment to make our neighbours the true ambassadors of our brand. We are going to continue working so that more shops continue to incorporate the best products in the world into their sales lines».

For his part, the manager of SuperPlus, Daniel Martinez, has highlighted the important support of the Provincial Council with entrepreneurs and businesses: «we are pleased that there are administrations committed to what is produced in Almeria and for us it is a source of pride to have local products on our shelves. We are going to carry out extensive promotion both on social networks and in the physical shop itself so that the people of Almeria can add more products to their shopping list».
This new SuperPlus is located on Duque de Ahumada street in Albox, next to the old Francisco Fenoy school and is open during normal opening hours.
