The Regional Ministry of Social Inclusion, Youth, Families and Equality has allocated more than 1.1 million euros (1,129,112 euros) to the Provincial Council of Almeria and six municipalities with more than 20,000 inhabitants for the financing of treatment teams for minor families at risk or unprotected. Specifically, the Official Gazette of the Junta de Andalucía (BOJA) has published this past week the Order of the transfer for the period from 1 May to 31 December 2023 for a total of 752,742 euros, to this figure must be added the payment from 1 January to 30 April 2023 amounting to 376,370 euros. The forecast is that, with these funds, which total 1,129,112 euros, 500 families and a thousand children from Almeria will be assisted.
The aim of this programme is to provide families with children at risk or unprotected with a specific and integrating treatment that allows the acquisition of rehabilitative guidelines that compensate for the situation that may directly or indirectly affect the welfare of the children. The aim is to preserve the rights of the children, promoting their integral development in their family environment; and to enable their return to their family of origin in those cases in which, after the adoption of a protection measure, family reunification is considered as the priority and most appropriate alternative for the children.
