
Luis Francisco Barrado will be the Ciudadanos candidate for mayor of Chercos in the municipal elections of May 2023, as confirmed by the liberal party. «Chercos needs a change, a renovating project with new and fresh ideas that will bring our town out of the lethargy in which it has been submerged for years», declared the mayoral candidate of the orange formation.
Barrado, 51, a former civil guard and with experience of government for three corporations, stressed that «we have a young team, with a lot of desire and enthusiasm, who know exactly what the needs of our town are». In the words of the CS mayoral candidate in Chercos: «our candidacy is the real alternative capable of changing the political sign of the Town Hall and the direction of the town».
Luis Francisco Barrado pointed out that they are going to run a positive campaign, with proposals based on improving the lives of the people of Chercos and eliminating inequalities between neighbourhoods. «We are going to fight against depopulation and job creation by promoting rural tourism, and to do this, we will highlight all the resources we have in terms of culture, history, ethnography and the environment,» explained the Ciudadanos candidate.

«We are going to fight to improve access to the town on three roads: the road from Chercos to Macael; the road that connects Chercos Viejo with Chercos Nuevo and the entrance to the municipality,» said Luis Francisco Barrado as one of the main lines of action. He also placed special emphasis on the «need to improve services and supplies in all the neighbourhoods because there cannot be first and second class areas in such a small town».
Finally, the Ciudadanos candidate for mayor of Chercos remarked that «if the residents put their trust in us, they can be sure that we will govern as a team for everyone». Concluding that «we will govern for the people as a whole with a negotiating spirit, based on dialogue».
