The City Council has reminded the public that access to the site is not allowed with glass bottles or trolleys. It has also pointed out that throughout the day there will be 2 cleaners, 24 toilets, 1 selective collection point and 32 containers.
Environmental awareness will be present in this area, as two caravans from the Mimamú campaign will be placed at the entrance to the site, where 5,000 reusable cups with lids will be distributed to reduce the risk of chemical submersion.
Ten environmental agents will be on hand to look after the environment, encouraging young people to dispose of waste in the right places, promoting good recycling and sustainability habits, in favour of a clean environment.
FREE TRANSPORT AND FREE PARK AND RIDE FACILITIES
Throughout the entire festive day, Murcians will not have to pay anything to use municipal public transport or to park in the park-and-ride car parks.
Thus, the Atocha, Fuenteblanca, Justicia, Almirante Loaysa and Almirante Loaysa park-and-ride car parks will offer nearly a thousand parking spaces completely free of charge. Users will have to keep the ticket obtained at the entrance and present it at the exit, in order to control the capacity of these facilities.
In addition to being free of charge, the local buses will improve their frequency on a public holiday, according to the same sources.
The tram service, which will also be free all day, will start at 7.05am from the Infantas stop (C.C. Thader) towards the city centre and universities (first tram from the Estadio Nueva Condomina stop at 7.30am and from the Universidad de Murcia stop at 7.39am), while the last tram will leave the Estadio Nueva Condomina at 11pm, passing through Plaza Circular at 11.20pm, towards the Universidad de Murcia and at midnight from Plaza Circular towards Nueva Condomina.
The scheduled cut-off time at Plaza Circular will be at 11.00, which means that there will be a separate transport service in two sections. Between Plaza Circular and Estadio Nueva Condomina stops and Juan Carlos I (behind Emuasa) and Universidad de Murcia stops. Between 11.00 and 16.00 hours, approximately, there will be a frequency of 8 to 12 minutes on the entire line.
There will be a special Juan Carlos I-Universidades section service and between 11.30 a.m. and 2.30 p.m. between 11.30 a.m. and 2.30 p.m. there will be a frequency of approximately 8 to 10 minutes.
There will also be a special service on the Plaza Circular-Estadio Nueva Condomina section, and between 11.30 and 14.30 there will be extra services between the Plaza Circular and Los Cubos stops, with a frequency of approximately 10 to 12 minutes.
On the Plaza Circular-Estadio Nueva Condomina section, the tram service will be suspended from 17.00 until the end of the parade, due to the power cut in the overhead line at Ronda de Levante and the impossibility of changing direction of the trams. This service will be reinstated as soon as possible, at the end of the parade, once the area has been cleared, which is expected to be around 22.00 hours, based on previous years.
As for the Terra Natura-UCAM shuttle service, it will have a normal service throughout the day, as planned for the public holiday (7.49 am, first departure Terra Natura to UCAM, frequency approximately 30 minutes), with an extension of the end time of the service: last departure from Los Rectores-Terra Natura towards UCAM at 10.35 pm and last departure from UCAM at 10.45 pm.
