The II International Cycle of Chamber Music «San Javier en Clásica», celebrates next Saturday 22nd April a «Zarzuela Night», by the brass quintet formed by members of the Murcia Symphony Orchestra, Murcia Brass Quintet and the soprano Carmen Muñoz. The concert will take place in the auditorium of the multi-purpose building on Avenida Aviación, in San Javier, at 19:30h.
The coordinator of the cycle «San Javier en Clásica» and professor at the Conservatory of San Javier, Mariano Bas and the Councillor for Culture, David Martinez, today updated the program of the music cycle due to several changes in some of the scheduled concerts. One of them, which was suspended last February in memory of Antonio Martínez Cánovas, guitarist and professor at the Conservatory, will take place in the next edition of the Cycle, said Mariano Bas.
Regarding the pending appointments, Mariano Bas recalled the change of location of the concert «Jóvenes en Clásica», which will move from the Usos Múltiples building to the new winter auditorium, on Saturday 6 May at 19:30h. The concert is a collaborative education project that brings together chamber ensembles from the San Javier Conservatory, the «Miguel Massotti Littel» Conservatory of Murcia and the «Maestro Jaime López» Conservatory of Molina de Segura.

The closing concert of the concert programme will take place on 3 June at 19:390 and will be dedicated to the memory of the young Murcian cellist, Miguel Ángel Clares, whose family will receive the Prize awarded to him by the «San Javier en Clásica» cycle. The concert will feature the Duo Apellániz, formed by David and Carlos Apellániz, on cello and piano, respectively.
The «San Javier en Clásica» series is organised by the San Javier Conservatory of Music and the San Javier Town Council, through the Department of Culture, with the collaboration of the Instituto de las Industrias Culturales y de las Artes, ICA, and the sponsorship of Fundación CajaMurcia and Caixabank.
