The PP of Arboleas celebrated on Friday night at the Pedro Gilabert Museum, the presentation of the new candidate for mayor of the municipality. José Juan Ramos, along with his entire team, was supported by the president of the Partido Popular, Javier A. García, the spokesperson of the Andalusian PP, Maribel Sánchez Torregrosa, the deputy secretary of the PP Almería, Fernando Giménez, as well as mayors, councillors and provincial deputies.
In front of a packed hall with more than 350 people, José Juan Ramos presented a project based on the transformation of the municipality with ideas to improve the quality of life of all people. As the popular candidate explained «Arboleas is a characteristic municipality of the Almanzora Valley, which has people from more than 30 countries and a population that exceeds the average age of 50 years», so during the presentation two members of the Popular Party were responsible for translating into English and French the ideas of the popular leaders.
José Juan Ramos stressed that if on 28th May the PP wins the support of the majority of the residents, they will govern for all equally and will carry out policies that will benefit the municipality and not just a few, as is unfortunately the case at present.
«With the PP as mayor, the Town Hall will be the home of all Arboleans, without distinction», he said.
The PP candidate explained to his neighbours why he has taken the step of running for mayor and stated that he has done so because «I love my town and I want young people to be able to enjoy a prosperous municipality with opportunities for the future, as well as being able to develop their life project in a town with an unbeatable environment».
For his part, the president of the PP of Almería, Javier A. García, said that «José Juan Ramos is the ideal person to become mayor because he has desire, enthusiasm, a deep love for his town and also has a project to revitalize the municipality that will make it a reference in the province of Almería».
The provincial president added that «seeing this theatre full is a sign that times are changing and that another way of doing politics is possible».
The spokesperson for the Andalusian PP, Maribel Sánchez Torregrosa, highlighted the importance of having a Partido Popular government in the Town Hall. «If Arboleas is dyed blue, together with the Diputación, the Junta de Andalucía and the Government of Spain with Feijóo at the head, this municipality will grow. In Andalusia we have seen that another way of doing politics is possible, that by lowering taxes more is collected and that projects are there to be completed. Our commitment to Arboleas is total and will continue to be so from the 28th of May», he explained.
Finally, the Deputy Secretary of Organisation of the PP of Almería, Fernando Giménez, stressed that the mayor of 2023 is the same as the mayor of 1996. «We cannot continue to be anchored in the policies of the last century, which only hinder citizens. Politics is made for everyone and for all neighbourhoods, with projects that allow the municipality to grow and give it an important role in the province. José Juan Ramos is the person best prepared to achieve this».
