Cantoria wins and unleashes madness
Abdou scored the 3-1 with which Cantoria closed the scoreboard.

Cantoria 2017 won a vital match for their aspirations to stay in the division this Sunday against Mijas Las Lagunas. They won 3-1 against the Malaga side, who are currently second in Group 2 and hopefuls for promotion, in a match corresponding to match day 29.

A match that began to be played from power to power and where the visitors imposed a physical game with the permissiveness of the referee from Jaén who allowed the game to be played to the limit throughout the match, which was attended by more than 600 fans. Cantoria 2017 is by far the team with the biggest crowd in the category.

This is how the first half went, in which both teams could have taken the lead. First it was Álvaro who shot wide of Alberto’s goal. In the 38th minute Valentín saved a shot from Casas which could have been the goal for the Almanzora side.

Both teams went to the dressing room with clean sheets. On the restart Carlos tested Valentín from outside the area and the keeper had to stretch to send it wide. Danny in the 13th minute, after a cut back from Reche and a combination play between Casas and Guille Cruz, played wide. However it was the visitors who took the lead. Pollo went in search of a ball behind the centre-backs and crossed the ball past Alberto. It was 16 minutes into the second half and Ricardo Mora’s men were determined to take the game by the scruff of the neck. The Aurinegros took a step forward, spurred on by the character that Reche has imprinted on the team. The aerial balls were falling in the visitors’ area. Dario’s full-backs, corners and free-kicks all went into the pot. Until in the 33rd minute they got their reward. Danny headed it into the back of the net. The Ghanaian was on target again and by now it was Danigol. 1-1 with 12 minutes to go.

In the 37th minute, Michael slipped past the left-back and was fouled inside the box. This time Dario asserted his authority as the main kicker and turned the free kick into a goal. Valentín guessed the post, took a touch, but the ball went in and unleashed madness in the Municipal Los Olivos stadium.

The more than 600 people jumped and applauded to the chant of «Sí se puede» (Yes we can), but in stoppage time there was time for more. Once again, Michael, the Palmera, got away from his marker, got to the back and sent in a killer pass that found Abdou to make it 3-1 and seal the match.

Next Sunday sees the final round of matches and there are several teams who will be playing with their ears to the ground. Calculator in hand, Alhaurino (44 points) host Cantoria (36), Martos (40) host Villacarrillo (33), Berja (34) host Vilches (20) and Pavia (13) host Atarfe Industrial (33).

Maximum tension in the lower zone to decide which teams will be relegated next season.
