The Congress and Exhibition Palace of Campohermoso has been filled with emotion, intensity and Almerian people to support the 103 candidates of the Partido Popular in the province of Almeria for the municipal elections of 28th May.
The event, chaired by the National Deputy Secretary for Culture and Open Society, Borja Sémper, was also attended by the president of the PP in Almería, Javier A. García, as well as the candidate of the host municipality, Níjar, José Francisco Garrido, the mayoress and PP candidate in Laujar, Almudena Morales, who represented the mayors of the rural areas of the province, and the mayoress of the capital, María Vázquez.
In front of more than 2,500 people, the 103 candidates from each of the municipalities and the candidate from the ELA of Fuente Victoria took to the stage and presented themselves before an audience that filled with warmth and support an event that the PP of Almeria will never forget.

Specifically, the solid project of the PP has 49 mayors standing for re-election and 41 new additions of men and women who are going to give their all for their municipalities.
The Deputy National Secretary for Culture and Open Society, Borja Sémper, was thrilled to see how the Palacio de Exposiciones has been filled to capacity. He also assured that «Spain, Andalusia and Almeria are inspiration, illusion and future. Spain, Andalusia and Almeria can eat the world, with people like Javier A. García and the whole PP family in Almeria».
He also praised the «103 men and women who are brave enough to take on the challenge of being mayors of their town. Who want to dedicate their lives entirely to improving their town. It is a real honour to be able to change people’s lives and create the conditions for them to move forward and improve their lives».
Furthermore, Sémper assured that «on 28th May we are playing for the Spain we want in the future». «We are playing for the future of Almería and we are playing to unite Spaniards. This is an extraordinary country that is worthwhile. We are not condemned to have leaders, ministers and a Prime Minister who looks in the mirror. Spain deserves a bright and extraordinary future».
Finally, he assured that «I have been a provincial president and I know many of them. You are the best president there is in Spain. On 28th May, nobody who is angry should bet on those who are fuel for anger and disillusionment and bet on the real change that of the Partido Popular».
The president of the PP of Almería, Javier A. García, thanked all the attendees for their presence and dedicated «capital thanks» to the PP team of Níjar for their involvement in the organisation of the event and highlighted the links between the land of Sémper and Almería: «We are united by our passion for being in the street, the inhabitants that the province of Guipúzcoa and Almería have, practically the same; we are united by gastronomy, pintxos are the tapas of Almería, but here they are free; we are also united by cinema because at the San Sebastián Film Festival a film shot here, in Almería, Sierra Maldita, won the Golden Shell».
Javier A. García stressed that «the greatest exponent of being Almerian and Almerian pride is here, with each and every one of the candidates that we present to be mayors of their municipalities. Committed, prepared, solvent and hard-working people who are enthusiastic, in love with their municipality and would give their lives for their people».
The provincial president assured that the PP governs with the common good and the well-being of all in mind, not just those who vote for us. We provide certainty and security with a project for everyone. We are standing for the whole province of Almería. We have a broad base for everyone who wants to enrich the lives of the people of Almeria. Here there is room for good socialists who do not agree with their leaders, for those who once voted for the PP and stopped voting for some reason. This is our party, a party open to all».
Finally, he assured that the Partido Popular «wants Alberto Núñez Feijoo to be President for one reason only: Spain needs him».
