Celia Granados wants to make history in Serón

Team Celia for Serón’ is the slogan of the Partido Popular’s candidacy for the next municipal elections on 28 May. The Casa de la Cultura hosted last night the presentation of a renewed candidacy that draws on the experience and youth of prepared people with projects that “will put Serón in the place it deserves”.

The president of the party, Javier Aureliano García, and the spokesperson of the Andalusian PP, Maribel S. Torregrosa, yesterday accompanied Celia Granados, candidate for mayor who comes with the experience gained from four years in the opposition. Serón, a municipality with great potential, has been stagnant for more than a decade with projects that are not finished and with a notable lack of maintenance in general.

Celia Granados, candidate for the Partido Popular, stressed that “the residents of Serón need a change of direction as soon as possible that will allow us to regain our enthusiasm and desire to make the municipality. We are still stuck in the policies of the last century that are getting us nowhere. We have important projects such as the transformation of the Las Menas road into an avenue with a boulevard, cycle lane, scenic area or a bio-healthy park. Ambitious ideas so that our families do not go away and also, neighbours from other towns can come to spend a day in Serón or tourists to discover our corners”.

For his part, the president of the Partido Popular in Almeria, Javier A. Garcia, recalled that “the only real investments that have been made in this municipality, have been thanks to PP agencies such as the Provincial Council or the Junta de Andalucía. The rehabilitation of the Church of Fuencaliente, the more than 2.7 million in the expansion of the Forest Defence Centre or the million euros in roads that we have rehabilitated are further proof that the Popular Party has always been committed to Serón”.

Finally, the spokesperson of the Andalusian PP, Maribel S. Torregrosa, said that “Celia and all the people of Serón have the support of the President of the Junta, Juanma Moreno. Celia heads a prepared list with ideas that will also have the support of the Provincial Council and soon the government of Spain. This town needs to awaken all the potential it has and become a reference in the province of Almería. After 40 years, we will finally have the first female popular mayor in history”.
