This Saturday took place in the Plenary Hall of the town hall of Arboleas, the act of investiture of the new mayor of the town.
The Popular José Juan Ramos, received the rod of command from the hands of the outgoing mayor, the socialist Cristóbal García.
For the first time in the history of democracy, Arboleas will be governed by a mayor from the Popular Party. In this case, as we reported in this same space, the change in municipal management has come about after an agreement reached between PP and UCIN, whose candidate was Pepa Rodríguez.
The pact has determined that each party will govern for a two-year term in the locality. The legislature will be opened by José Juan Ramos (PP) and the remaining two years of government will be completed by UCIN candidate Pepa Rodríguez.
«Everyone should be reassured because we will continue with all the projects initiated by Cristóbal and we will continue with those that we have determined with the UCIN comrades. I thank Pepa and her team for their support and for believing in our project. We are going to bring about change and demonstrate that another policy is possible,» said the new mayor of Arbole in his first speech at the head of the council.
