IU resigns as councillors in Líjar and Garrucha
The automatic withdrawal was communicated by María Jesús Amate, provincial coordinator of IU.

As La Comarca Noticias announced, the town councils of Líjar and Garrucha have already been informed of the automatic withdrawal of the four elected councillors from the party after entering into governments with the PP and Vox, which means that they are now non-attached, apart from being expelled from the coalition, in which three of them are members.

The reaching of pacts with the Popular Party in these two localities meant that those who stood in the elections under the Con Andalucía brand were immediately removed from IU membership.

Opinions differed on the matter, as militants of the party in different localities of the Almanzora region insist that the provincial leadership should perhaps ask themselves how the PSOE has treated them in previous alliances, so that now these councillors support candidates of the Popular Party or are willing to govern with VOX.

In Líjar, Francisco Molina, who stood in the elections representing IU, reached an agreement with the local PP candidate María Jesús Díaz, with the commitment to govern for two years each.
