The territorial delegate for Development, Territorial Coordination and Housing, Carmen Belén López, has made a technical visit to the works to stabilise the existing slope at Pk 43+500 of the A-1100 road in the municipality of Albanchez.
The A-1100 road, from Tabernas to Cantoria, via Uleila del Campo, starts at the N-340a and ends at the A-334 road in Cantoria. It belongs to the Complementary Network and has a total length of 55.33 km. It is a road with significant vehicle traffic, hence the importance of acting on it quickly after the rains this spring, which have caused landslides.
Carmen Belén López detailed that «during the last storm there have been a series of runoffs and landslides, which have broken the existing triple torsion support mesh, silting up the ditch and leaving the earth on the edge of the road, which could cause the road to be cut, with all the inconveniences that this would entail for road safety».
The delegate assured that «the existing landslides in the ditch have been removed and, once the mesh has been freed, it has been repaired with the sewing of new panels and the replacement of others, all to improve and restore the protection of the slope». The works have a total budget of 47,503.06 euros and the duration of the work is 2 months.
