The Aidemarcha will be held on the evening of Saturday 1 July with an expected 2600 runners.

The Aidemarcha will be held on Saturday 1 July, starting from the new Almansa Park and finishing at the Barnuevo esplanade in Santiago de la Ribera.

The XIII edition of the Aidemarcha, the solidarity and night race held in benefit of Aidemar, will this year reach the 2600 dorsal numbers, according to the sports director of Aidemar, Pedro Martínez, during the presentation of the race that took place today at the City Hall of San Javier with the participation of the mayor, José Miguel Luengo, the president of Aidemar, Francisco García and the president of the Athletics Federation of Murcia, Pruden Guerrero.

The Aidemarcha will be held on Saturday 1st July, starting from the new Almansa Park and finishing at the Barnuevo esplanade in Santiago de la Ribera. The event, which includes a Mini Aidemarcha, and the runner and walker modalities, will have special entertainment for the little ones from 18:30 at the starting point. The Mini Aidemarcha will be held at 20:00h and the start, both for runners (5Kms.) and walkers (4kms.) will be at 21:00h.

In this edition, the race will have several entertainment points along the route and at the finish line, in addition to the usual refreshments. In total, more than 3,000 people, including participants, volunteers and entertainers, will be mobilised on Saturday night for the Aidemarcha. Participants will receive a technical T-shirt, technical trousers and a runner’s bag. The race bibs and bags will be available from Thursday at Automóviles Galera in San Javier, although they can also be collected before the start of the race.

Registrations can be made on the official race website, where you can also consult all the details of the race. The Aidemarcha will force a temporary closure of traffic on Avenida Aviación Española and Mar Menor, between San Javier and Santiago de la Ribera, for the duration of the race.

The president of Aidemar, Francisco García thanked the support of the City Council of San Javier, the FAMU, and the more than 60 establishments and entities that sponsor the race, as well as the volunteers who contribute to its success. Francisco Garcia recalled that the money raised has very specific purposes which are the needs that the various Aidemar centres choose each year to invest thanks to the Aidemarcha.

The Mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo recalled that the Aidemarcha is an unmissable event and very much loved by the residents of San Javier. “It has become a family event and a support event for Aidemar that no one wants to miss, in addition to its competitive aspect in the world of athletics”. The mayor highlighted the support of the sponsors and the work of this welfare and educational association “of which we are all proud in San Javier”. For the runners of the Region, the Aidemarcha is also “an obligatory event” recalled Pruden Guerrero, president of the FAMU, who reiterated her support for the sporting work carried out by Aidemar. All agreed in inviting to participate and enjoy this night and solidarity race.
