
The Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda (Mitma) has awarded 10.8 million euros in aid from the European NextGeneration funds to seven town councils in the province to rehabilitate public buildings.
The projects to receive this grant are the rehabilitation of the Plaza de Abastos km.0 in Huércal-Overa, with a budget of 577,234.46 euros; the development of the Ecoculture project in the Museum of Art of Almería, which will receive a grant of 2.8 million euros and the sustainable rehabilitation with high energy efficiency of the Cantoria Town Hall building, which will receive a grant of 1.2 million euros.
Other actions include the integral sustainable rehabilitation of the new Civic Centre of Vera, a project which has been awarded 1.5 million euros; the execution of the ‘Vaticano de Macael’ project, promoted by the town council and which will receive 2.2 million euros; the rehabilitation of the town hall of Vícar, which will receive a grant of 1 million euros and the energy rehabilitation of the municipal building El Chopo de Campohermoso, a project for which the town council of Níjar will receive a grant of 1.3 million euros.
