The Tijola girl, María González Castillo, has won three individual silver medals and one gold medal with the Andalusian national team at the Spanish Cycling Championships held this past weekend in Cartagena.
María González was selected by the Andalusian Federation, together with three other teammates, to represent Andalusia in the aforementioned championship.
On Friday was held the online test with more than 60 athletes; a very exciting test for the spectators where everything was decided in the final sprint, proclaiming Maria Gonzalez Castillo, runner-up of Spain and runner-up with the Andalusian team.
On Saturday, same participants, great day with the gymkhana test where she also got silver medal and a first place with her selection, proclaiming this time champion of Spain.
In this way the Tijola people athlete brought home three silver medals and one gold medal very well deserved, because behind these medals there are many hours of training, dedication, effort and above all love for the sport, love that she shares with her siblings who also compete in various modalities and of course her parents Nuria and Antonio José, who accompany and support her unconditionally in every step.
A great local pride for an outstanding sportswoman who once again leaves Andalusian sport on a high note.
