The carcass of a sperm whale of about five metres appeared last week stranded on the Torre Derribada beach in the municipality of San Pedro del Pinatar (Murcia), as reported by the Regional Park Salinas San Pedro del Pinatar through its Twitter profile, an official account of the Regional Ministry of Environment, Mar Menor, Universities and Research.

The discovery took place last week and, unfortunately, the animal had already died, as the same sources point out.

«If you find a cetacean, shark or sea turtle on the beach, dead or alive, call 112 and report it,» said the Regional Park’s management.
