
This Monday the Guardia Civil of the Almeria Command, helped a woman trapped in her vehicle after plunging down a ravine of about 30 meters high while driving on the A-334 road km 48.500, in the municipality of Purchena.
This action began when the Command and Control Centre of the Almería Command (062) informed the patrols on duty that there had been an accident involving a vehicle that had gone off the road at km 48.500 on the A-334 as it passes through the municipality of Purchena.
Civil Guard personnel went to the scene as soon as possible and on arrival found that a vehicle with a woman inside had indeed fallen into a ravine, about 30 metres high, very steep and with a lot of vegetation. With the support of the Local Police of the town of Tíjola, they looked for the safest way for the arrival of the fire brigade to access the vehicle. The fire brigade, using tools such as axes and hoes, managed to clear the ground of reeds and brambles.
Once the fire brigade managed to reach the injured woman, they assisted her from a window, calming her down until a fire brigade was able to rescue her, for her later transfer by medical personnel to the Baza Regional Hospital.

As a result of this action, the Guardia Civil with the collaboration of Local Police, Firefighters, Medical Services and Road Maintenance helped and rescued a woman who had been trapped inside her vehicle after leaving the road on which she was driving and falling into a 30 metre high ravine.
