The Guardia Civil detains the alleged perpetrator of a stabbing in Torre Pacheco

Guardia Civil Arrests Alleged Perpetrator Of A Stabbing In Torre Pacheco
– GUARDIA CIVIL

The Civil Guard has arrested a 21-year-old man for allegedly stabbing a young man in Torre Pacheco (Murcia) with a knife and causing serious chest injuries, according to sources from the Benemérita in a statement.

The arrested, who is charged with the alleged crimes of robbery with violence and serious injury, had an order of prohibition of entry into Shengen territory and has already been imprisoned.

The investigation began when the Armed Institute learned that a young man with serious stab wounds had been transferred to the health center of Torre Pacheco, from where he left urgently to the hospital Los Arcos de San Javier. Minutes later, the Guardia Civil learned that another individual had been admitted to the same hospital with various wounds in his arms.

The first of the wounded, due to the abundant loss of blood and the seriousness of the injuries, had to undergo surgery; while the second left the hospital in a hasty manner, refusing to receive medical attention and showing a hostile attitude towards the medical staff.

COLLABORATION OF THE LOCAL POLICE
Early that same morning, the Local Police of Torre Pacheco was alerted of an alleged suicide attempt in a street in the municipality, finding the same subject, who was again evacuated to the hospital in San Javier, where he again persevered in his refusal to be treated.

It was around noon when the Local Police of San Javier learned of the appearance of a young man lying on the service road of the RM-F19, in Pozo Aledo, in a semi-conscious state. At the scene, the officers found a man with several cuts on his arms and a butterfly knife with traces of blood and a hospital care report that morning in his pocket.

The individual had a number of surgical staples, recently sutured, and was again transported for medical attention.

TWO ALLEGEDLY ISOLATED CASES
Although both cases appeared to be isolated incidents, the Benemérita found out that they could be related when they learned that the physical characteristics of the person who had injured himself coincided with those of the person who attacked the first victim with a knife.

The evidence obtained revealed that the detainee approached the victim, assaulted him with a butterfly knife in the side to rob him and later self-injured himself.

Two days after the events, the police operation culminated in the arrest of a 21 year-old Moroccan national, who is the subject of an order issued by the French authorities prohibiting him from entering Shengen territory.

The proceedings have been placed at the disposal of the Court of Instruction of San Javier, whose owner has ordered his imprisonment.
