On July 19, two patrols of the Civil Guard Traffic Detachments of the towns of Huercal Overa and Vera, acting jointly with the task of road surveillance, proceeded to the seizure of a large amount of cash, hidden inside the vehicle of a driver who was being identified after committing a traffic violation.
The events took place on the A-7 highway, when the agents noticed a nervous attitude of the driver when being identified, they proceeded to a thorough inspection of the interior of the vehicle, finding hidden in different bags an amount of money whose sum reached the amount of 107,785 euros.
The investigated driver, with a record for crimes against public health and currently on probation with prohibition to leave the national territory, was brought before the court and subsequently released, while the money seized is at the disposal of the judicial authority in the Court of Vera.
