100 m of the beach at «El Pedrucho Sur» in La Manga is being beached due to strong currents.

Emergency Services of the Plan Copla have marked off about 100 m of beach due to strong currents, in «El Pedrucho Sur» in La Manga del Mar Menor San Javier.

The red flag means that bathing is prohibited for everyone, both for swimming and diving.

This is the flag with the most serious warning as it implies a risk to the bather’s health, whether due to currents, waves, weather, pollution or dangerous animals.

When is the red flag displayed?

When there are waves that pose a danger to the integrity of people, with a height of two metres or more.

When there are strong or very strong currents that can drag bathers.

When the general state of the sea is very rough.

When the weather conditions are very adverse and dangerous for people at sea.

When the water or sand is polluted.

When there are many harmful and/or dangerous marine animals.

When there are other situations that pose a serious risk to users.
