The Guardia Civil GEAS have recovered the body found floating about three miles from the port.

The Guardia Civil has rescued the lifeless body of a man found floating in the sea off the coast of Garrucha, according to the Emergencias 112 Andalucía service, attached to the Regional Ministry of the Presidency, Interior, Social Dialogue and Administrative Simplification of the Junta de Andalucía.

A private individual alerted the 112 emergency telephone number at 16:00 hours last Saturday of the discovery of a body in the sea about three miles off the coast of Garrucha. The Civil Guard, Maritime Rescue, Local Police and Civil Protection of Garrucha were then activated from the coordination centre.

A team of the Groups of Specialists in Underwater Activities (GEAS) of the Guardia Civil recovered the lifeless body, which was later transferred to the Port of Garrucha, where the judicial authority has taken charge.
