Francisco Martínez-Cosentino will be named honorary president of the Andalusian Association of Marble Entrepreneurs (AEMA) this afternoon. He will thus become the first person to receive this recognition, a distinction that the business association approved unanimously.
A more than deserved recognition for Francisco Martínez Cosentino, president of the group that bears his surname, who has managed to position his company among the best in the world and who generates thousands of jobs, many of them in our region. The company that Paco Cosentino inherited from his parents was born in Macael, and today it is a leader in the production and distribution of surfaces for architecture and design, with a presence in forty countries and a turnover of over 1,100 million euros.
The Andalusian Marble Business Association is preparing a solemn ceremony for this afternoon, which will be attended by more than three hundred guests, including the Andalusian Regional Minister of Agriculture, Carmen Crespo.
The event will take place in the Municipal Theatre of Macael, where the trajectory of this renowned businessman of our region will be recognised.
Cosentino is Doctor Honoris Causa by the University of Almeria, winner of the Kingdom of Spain Business Career Award, Favourite Son of Andalusia, Gold Medal for Merit at Work, Gold Medal of the Chambers of Commerce of Spain, Favourite Son of Macael and Gold Medal of the Province of Almeria.
