
At 15:18 hours yesterday, Firefighters from the Fire and Rescue Consortium of the Region of Murcia (CEIS) managed to extinguish a fire that broke out in a house located in C/ Granja, in Santiago de la Ribera, San Javier.
The incident was reported to the Emergency Coordination Centre 1-1-2 Region of Murcia by several people who alerted the fire. According to initial reports, the owner was outside the house while the flames and smoke were coming out of the building, trying to control the situation himself. In response to the emergency calls, the Local Police of San Javier, the CEIS Fire Brigade and an ambulance from the Civil Protection of San Javier were called to the scene.
At 15:45 hours, the CEIS Fire Corporal reported that the fire had been completely extinguished and that ventilation work was being carried out in the affected area. The health services confirmed that they provided medical attention to the owner at the scene of the incident.
At 16:07 hours, after confirming that there were no remaining safety risks, all emergency personnel present at the scene withdrew, concluding an operation that demonstrated the effective coordination and rapid response of the region’s emergency services.
