The Guardia Civil in Albox celebrates the feast of its patron saint, the Virgen del Pilar.

The City Council accompanies the Guardia Civil on its big day and collaborates closely with all the events organised.

The municipality of Albox has turned its attention to the Civil Guard on Thursday 12th October, the day of its Patron Saint, the Virgen del Pilar. The institutional acts in which the Town Hall of Albox has collaborated closely, began at noon with the Holy Mass in the Parish Church of Santa Maria. This was followed by the military ceremony in the town’s Plaza Mayor, with institutional salutes and a tribute to the fallen.

Twenty-four members of the Albox Civil Guard took part in the ceremony.

Members of the corporation accompanied the Guardia Civil at the main events.

The mayoress of Albox, María del Mar Alfonso, took part in the tribute, along with the rest of the councillors of the municipal corporation. Among those present were the Mayor of Taberno, Antonio Martos and the Territorial Delegate of Agriculture, Antonio Mena, as well as numerous local residents who did not want to miss such an important day.  Along with the institutional act, the Guardia Civil invited the neighbours to enjoy numerous activities throughout the day at the Water and Health Centre in Albox.
