The Socialist Municipal Group in the Olula del Río Town Hall has demanded the Andalusian Government of Juan Manuel Moreno Bonilla, the normalisation of the canteen service of the public school Trina Rull, as well as the re-filling of the post of administrative assistant in the IES Rosa Navarro, a figure which currently does not have this institute and which is causing a bureaucratic «overload» that falls on the management and teaching team.
As explained by the PSOE spokesman, Diego Castaño, the Consejería de Desarrollo Educativo de la Junta de Andalucía has changed «overnight» the food service provided in the dining room with the consequent discomfort that has caused in the educational community. «When registering, parents believed that the school would continue to have the same canteen service as always, with cooking on the school premises» but, as the socialist leader laments, «at the beginning of the school year they find that, directly, there is no canteen».
Due to the protests made by the families, the school «has opted to hire a catering service», something that does not please those affected, about a hundred families from Olula del Río. The Socialist Municipal Group wants to express its solidarity with the victims who argue that with this catering service «quality is lost» compared to the system that the centre has used since its opening which, among other things, had auxiliary services associated with the kitchen, such as monitors, security guards and the presence of a dietician-nutritionist to provide better quality to the menu that hundreds of children eat every day. Diego Castaño has urged the PP mayor to «not ignore» the claims of his neighbours and that «making use of his position» to intervene in this grievance caused by the PP government to Olula del Río.
