The spokesman of the Municipal Group of the PP in the Town Hall of Cantoria, Saturnino Fernández, has lamented the «dictatorship» that the PSOE of the town has imposed on the social networks of the Town Hall after making a comment related to the amnesty that has been removed, to which must be added the blocking in social networks, as they denounce through a press release sent to the media.
According to Fernández, this is another example of the «kind of people» that make up the government team headed by Purificación Sánchez, who, when they do not agree with what is freely expressed, prefer to act as if we were living in a dictatorship, despite the fact that it is a social network of a public institution.
Specifically, the Cantoria socialists posted a photo in which they were seen at the celebration of Columbus Day in Albox appealing for equality between all Spaniards. In response to this post, Saturnino Fernández reminded them in a commentary that the socialists who defended an egalitarian Spain on 12 October are the same ones who voted against a motion against amnesty and in favour of equality for all Spaniards on 3 October.
For Saturnino Fernández, these incongruities show that Cantoria has a government team that «has no shame» and that acts in the same way as the President of the Government, sticking closer to the most important and most interesting position.
Finally, the PP spokesman hopes that the PSOE of Cantoria will stop restricting freedom of expression and assume the comments that citizens post on social networks.
«As long as no disrespect is shown, there is no reason for them to remove anything. Cantorians have the right to express themselves freely and that is what we want to do, that is why we denounce the PSOE’s attitude and demand that they allow the spokesperson of the Popular Group, who has been voted for by many citizens, to write his opinions and those of his municipal group whenever he wants and considers it necessary», he concludes.
