The Mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo receives the “supermakers” of the Rafa Puede Foundation.

Rafa Puede’s team wins the X Talento Challenge award from ONCE, for their project “Pequeña Fábrica Social” to implement creative solutions using 3D printers.

The Mayor José Miguel Luengo and the Councillor for Social Rights and Family, María del Mar Pérez, have received at the Town Hall the team from the Rafa Puede Foundation, from San Javier, which recently won the X Talento Challenge, organised by the ONCE Foundation, for its project “Pequeña Fábrica Social” (Small Social Factory). For the development of this project, the Foundation formed a team of “Supermakers”, made up of young people, some of them with some kind of disability, who worked to respond to the specific needs of people who, due to any circumstance throughout their lives, require some kind of adaptation or support product.

The Foundation, which has received 6000 euros for the prize, informs that these products will be designed and printed in 3D, or other materials, sharing the whole process on the internet so that they can be replicated by anyone. The mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo congratulated the whole team for the award, for their technical skills and for the social work they are doing by publicly sharing the whole process.
