Last Saturday 21st October, the «I Marcha Popular Los Fuegos de Laroya» took place in the municipality of Laroya. This event, which was attended by approximately forty people, took place within the framework of the Iberian Hiking League 2023. The walk started at 8 a.m., with the starting point at the monument to Los Fuegos de Laroya, and covered a total distance of 24 kilometres.
The itinerary provided hiking enthusiasts with the opportunity to explore and appreciate the landscapes of the municipality. The walk culminated with a rice tasting.
The mayoress of Laroya, Dolores Moreno, expressed her gratitude in a statement to La Comarca Noticias, saying: «We are deeply grateful to the Diputación de Almería, the technicians, the workers of the Town Hall and the councillors for their valuable contribution that made this event possible. We hope that this event will have continuity in time and that we will be able to celebrate it again next year.
