The mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo and the president of the association of traders, «San Javier, ciudad de compras», Carlos Calvo, have signed the renewal of the collaboration agreement between the two institutions to boost retail trade in the municipality. The agreement involves a municipal contribution of 3000 euros to the association which will be used for actions such as trade fairs or promotions, sectoral advertising campaigns, promoting the use of public parking for shopping by customers and in general in any activity of interest to one of the parties.
The Councillor for Commerce, Isabel Madrid, who attended the signing of the renewal of the agreement, announced that they are currently working on the Christmas campaign with the commercial sector. During the meeting, the Mayor, José Miguel Luengo reminded the representatives of the local commerce, the opening and the services that they can benefit from in the new Business Centre of Santiago de la Ribera, where the Local Development Agency has been moved, and from where entrepreneurship and training will be encouraged, including the hotel school that will begin to be built soon in an annex to the new building.
