The National Police arrested four men and a woman aged between 22 and 27 as the alleged perpetrators of a cannabis association used as a point of sale of narcotic substances in Cartagena.
This is the third false association dismantled by specialised agents during the month of October in the port city, according to sources from the Corps in a statement.
The investigation verified the constant flow of people entering the premises only to leave a few minutes later, far from the behaviour expected of the members, who usually stay inside to consume marijuana.
Moreover, no association was registered at the address of the premises, in addition to complaints from neighbours about the strong odours coming from the establishment.
According to the investigation, the persons trusted by the person in charge, who had a history of drug trafficking, travelled continuously between his home and the premises where the association allegedly carried out its activity, at different times of the day.
For this reason, and following the relevant judicial authorisations, entries and searches were carried out at both locations, where a total of more than four kilograms of marijuana buds for sale, almost 300 grams of hashish, 5,800 euros in cash, two precision scales and a taser pistol were seized.
The four detainees were brought before the courts for the adoption of the appropriate precautionary measures.
