The Federico García Lorca Cinema Hall hosts weekly film premieres. At the beginning of October the screenings were resumed and the response has been very satisfactory. Hundreds of people from all over the Almanzora region enjoy film premieres much closer every week, as the option to see a film on a big screen until recently, was to travel many more kilometres, you had to move to a large shopping area and now Albox, has become the place of choice for most of the residents of the north of the province.
This week lovers of the seventh art are enjoying the Spanish film “Alimañas” directed by Jordi Sánchez and Pep Antón Gómez with Jordi Sánchez, Carlos Areces, Silvia Abril, Loles León and Carmina Barrios, as the main protagonists. A comedy that can be enjoyed until Wednesday 8 November. From Friday, “Five Night at Freddy’s”, the highest grossing horror film of all time, whose main character is a tormented security guard, will be on the Albox cinema billboard.
“Our intention is for Albox to be a regional reference as it has always been, also in cultural proposals. In addition, we are preparing a very special Christmas, and the cinema is the perfect complement to all of this,” says the councillor for culture, Juan Domingo Navarro.
The Albox cinema has five weekly sessions, almost two hundred seats, a large screen and a popular price. “For us, bringing the cinema was a priority, mainly because our neighbours asked for it, but also because it becomes an additional attraction to visit our town. We are convinced that it is going to support our commerce and hotel and catering trade,” adds Navarro.
The Sala Federico García Lorca is located at Calle Rosario, 27.
