San Javier has hosted, together with San Pedro del Pinatar, the FEDDI 2023 Spanish Futsal Championship, which was held from Thursday, November 2 to Saturday, November 4, with a large participation of people with intellectual disabilities from Spain. The Príncipe Felipe pavilion has hosted the championship meetings that have been held in the competition, adapted and sports skills categories. The local team Aidemar Club Fútbol Sala Pinatar competed with two teams, in the adapted category, achieving fifth place and third place in sports skills.
The winners of the Championship in the 1st Competition modality were Amistad Alcorcón, from Madrid and 2nd Competition, CD Discapagua, from the Canary Islands. In Adapted 1st it was Abdera Fenicia Fundación Almería and Adapted 2nd Adil Fundación Esfera, Madrid. In Mixed Sports Skills the winner was Apandis-Peña Madridista Ciudad del Sol, from Lorca. The competition stood out for having an inclusive nature, where schools from San Javier and San Pedro del Pinatar were able to learn about the skills of the players from the different clubs, as well as exchange moments, photographs and interviews.
