
The Winter Theatre of San Javier opened its doors to the music of the Region of Murcia, which experienced its big night with the Yepes Awards, which had the Cartagena band Arde Bogotá as one of the main protagonists by winning the award for Best Rock Album. The Mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo opened the gala to welcome the nominees and the audience that filled the theatre and to present the award for Best Festival, a category in which Fan Futura de San Javier was nominated and which went to Visor Fest.

A total of 15 prizes were awarded on a night that included live music with performances by Alec López, who won Best Emerging Artist, Cutre, Evve and Shenandoah Jazz Project. This year’s list of winners included Sara Zamora for Best Pop Album, Álex Orellana for Urban Music, Alien Tango for Other Trends and Le Mur for Best Hardcore, Metal or Punk Rock Album. The prizes awarded directly by the jury went to the Orfeón Fernández Caballero, Leyenda Award; Luis Alcázar, Media Work Award and the Murcia Live! Association, Cultural Work Award. The Yepes Music Awards of the Region of Murcia are organised by the Hay un Tigre detrás de Ti Association, with the collaboration of the ICA, the Regional Ministry of Culture and the City Council of San Javier.
