Grupo Reche Fernández, based in the municipality of Tíjola, announces the call for applications through the Tíjola Book Bank, for scholarships to carry out volunteer work in educational-assistance projects run by ACOES (Asociación Colaboración y Esfuerzo) in Honduras.

Through its María Fernández Vega Foundation, Grupo Reche Fernández , will be responsible for the full payment of these scholarships, which will amount to a total of 4,000 euros.

Specifically through this initiative, this business group from Tíjola, is associated with the solidarity activity of the Tíjola Book Bank with ACOES, and launches a call to award two scholarships, for an amount of two thousand euros each, which will allow the beneficiaries to carry out a voluntary stay in one of the projects of ACOES in Honduras, in accordance with the rules of the call that can be consulted at http://bancodelibrostijola.org/becas-voluntariado-2024/, link from which interested parties can submit their applications.

ACOES is an association founded and directed by Father Patricio Larrosa, which directly serves a population of more than twelve thousand children and young people in their educational and personal development. This population belongs to the most marginalised, disadvantaged and excluded social sector of society, lacking in means and opportunities and which ACOES, with the collaboration of the Tíjola Book Bank and numerous other associations and volunteers, aims to mitigate through education, promotion, encouragement and improvement of the living conditions of all the children and young people it takes in, as well as their social and family environment.

The Tíjola Book Bank sent its 16th container to Honduras, with some 20,000 kilos of school material, which was loaded this Saturday by numerous volunteers and which will arrive in Honduras thanks to the collaboration of the multinational Cosentino.
