The municipality of Purchena is celebrating its Christmas market this Sunday, with around twenty companies and associations offering their products in the town’s central square from 10am.
The sunny day, unseasonable for this time of year, has encouraged the locals to take to the streets and enjoy the day, with the activities scheduled to finish around 6pm.
Sweets, nougat, cakes, cheeses, cold meats, honey, bread, handicrafts, perfumes and accessories are just some of the products on offer at this street market, which also has two free inflatables for the little ones to enjoy.
Thanks to the initiative of the Purchena Town Council, the initiative also has the participation of different associations, such as the Spanish Association for the Fight Against Cancer.
Around midday, the parade of the members of the corporation visiting the different stands, led by the mayor José Luis Serrano, served to inaugurate the Christmas market, a good excuse to get out of the house, strengthen family economies and acquire essential products for the festivities that begin next weekend.
