Cosentino presents its initiative “Recover the South”

The company unveils this campaign at Cosentino City in Madrid with the presence of its executive vice-president Pilar Martínez-Cosentino Alfonso.

Cosentino City of Madrid hosted last Thursday the first event of “Recupera el Sur”, a campaign promoted by Cosentino to attract young talent to the Almanzora region, and the province in general. As explained at the event, the initiative seeks to identify and appeal to young people from Almeria or Andalusia who have had to move to other cities to complete their training or take their first steps in the labour market, so that they consider the option of returning and starting a professional and personal project in Almeria.

As a driving force in the province, Cosentino is leading this initiative, which aims to be transversal, being able to involve other companies and business sectors in Almeria, as well as different entities and public administrations. All of this, also with the aim of publicising the differentiating aspects and advantages in terms of leisure, quality of life, tourism and culture that Almeria currently offers.

The event was attended by Pilar Martínez-Cosentino Alfonso, Cosentino’s executive vice-president, who explained the corporate purpose and values of the company. A DNA based on innovation, entrepreneurship and commitment to society and the environment, which is also present in the Almanzora region and throughout the province. A large part of Cosentino’s People management staff was also present, headed by Paco Robles, Vice-president of this area. Finally, the event was closed with an interesting talk by Margarita Álvarez, Director of the Human Age Institute and CEO of Working for Happiness, who was for many years the promoter and president of the Coca-Cola Happiness Institute.

“Recover the South is not an idea or a self-interested initiative. As we always do at Cosentino, we look beyond and in the long term. We always try to seek the collaboration and involvement of other agents and entities. Therefore, leading by example as an employer brand, we aspire to create a community that will grow in the coming months with new actions. A community that is nurtured in a bidirectional way, where all those interested can find out about training and employment opportunities from us, and at the same time share their concerns and queries”, says Paco Robles.

This first phase of “Recupera el Sur” will be completed this Wednesday at 18.30 in a new presentation event that will take place in the auditorium of Cosentino’s headquarters in Cantoria.

The event is open to all interested parties, who can register here.
