Emergencias 112 manages almost 300 incidents in Almeria on Christmas Eve

This is 24% more incidents than those managed in the same period in 2022.

Emergencies 112 has coordinated a total of 273 incidents in Almeria during Christmas Eve and early Christmas morning (between 00:00 hours on Sunday 24 and 07:00 hours on Monday 25 December). This figure represents an increase of 24.6% compared to the emergencies managed in the same period last year in the province of Almeria, when 219 were coordinated, according to the service attached to the Ministry of the Presidency, Interior, Social Dialogue and Administrative Simplification of the Board.

Most of the 112 alerts in Almeria related to health assistance (126) and public safety cases (66), followed by traffic incidents (17), traffic accidents (16), requests for assistance and animal rescues and fires (14 in both cases). The rest of the emergencies were due to requests for social services and anomalies in basic services, among others.

Throughout Andalusia, 3,370 incidents were handled during Christmas Eve and the first hours of Christmas. By provinces, Almeria is sixth in terms of the number of coordinated incident notifications; it is preceded by Seville (836), Malaga (677), Cadiz (438), Granada (404) and Cordoba (300). Only Jaén (245) and Huelva (197) are behind the province of Almería.

In terms of provincial capitals, Almeria is also sixth in terms of the number of emergencies handled (71). The cities of Seville (396), Malaga (245), Cordoba (150), Granada (117) and Huelva (74) are ahead of Almeria, followed by Jaen (45) and Cadiz (43).

The time slot with the highest volume of calls to 112 was between 21:00 and 22:00 on Sunday 24 December, when 165 incidents were dealt with in one hour.
