Cases of acute respiratory infections in the Region of Murcia increase by 27%

The Region of Murcia has recorded a 27% increase in the incidence of acute respiratory infections (ARI) in primary care, according to the latest report of the Surveillance System of the Regional Ministry of Health, which provides data from 18 to 24 December.

Health has recorded 1,229 cases of ARI per 100,000 inhabitants. Compared to the previous week, the incidences of influenza infection, acute bronchitis/bronchiolitis and coronavirus infection have increased.

Specifically, positivity was 2.1% for SARS-CoV2, 41.7% for influenza virus and 20.8% for respiratory syncytial virus (RSV).
