The vice-president recalled that this grant is a continuation of the collaboration agreement signed between the Provincial Council and the Guardia Civil to improve the barracks throughout the province of Almeria: «A good example of this improvement that is being carried out is the one underway in Olula del Río where we are rehabilitating the barracks. From the Provincial Institution we want the Civil Guard to have decent working conditions and to continue to ensure security in each and every corner of the province and especially in those municipalities with less population in our province.
Giménez has valued the work of the Benemérita is essential to ensure security throughout Almeria and especially in inland and more rural Almeria. «That is why the Provincial Council will continue to ensure the improvement of its facilities not only through these agreements but also with the PFEA works that are also being executed here».
He also thanked the mayor of Olula for his predisposition, his trust and his continuous demands to the whole administration and in particular to the Diputación with the aim of improving the public services of his municipality and one of those services is security.
For his part, the mayor has highlighted the support of the Provincial Council to achieve the objectives that have been set to equalize opportunities and improve services: «This barracks needed a remodeling and thanks to this line of investment and the PFEA is being improved so that they can continue to come to live agents and choose our destination. We will always support all initiatives that promote the arrival of more services and more people, and this project is a direct fight against depopulation».
A barracks beneficiary of the PFEA works
Similarly, Giménez stressed that the Olula del Río barracks has also been a beneficiary, both last year and this year, of the PFEA investments for the Civil Guard barracks.
Specifically, this year there are 5 barracks that receive these investments that seek to improve the facilities in which the agents of the Guardia Civil carry out their work.
Between the actions carried out in the last edition of the PFEA and those currently underway, the investment received by this facility exceeds €70,000.
