The Councillor for Culture, David Martínez, and the Councillor for Festivities, Alba Sánchez, today revealed all the details of the programme for Three Kings Day in San Javier.
The ship of Their Majesties the Three Wise Men will arrive at the pier of Santiago de la Ribera, in front of Miramar, on Friday 5th January at 18:00 hours. There they will greet the children and the parade will begin, going up Avenida Sandoval to Plaza Puerta del Mar and then down again to the Barnuevo Esplanade to visit the Nativity Scene.
According to David Martínez, Councillor for Culture, «The finishing touch to Christmas 2024 will be this magical night». The star that guides them will be seen in the Plaza de San Javier to welcome them. At 20:00 hours, the Mayor of San Javier, José Miguel Luengo, will receive Their Majesties the Three Wise Men from the East wrapped in a great spectacle of light and fireworks. Music will be one of the main protagonists with some Disney themes in the repertoire. The Mayor, as is tradition, will give the Wise Men the key that opens all the houses in San Javier and that on that magical night will allow them to leave gifts for all the children in the municipality.
«Fireworks will go off from the four cardinal points of the square to bless the four winds», and thus bring Christmas to an end, in the words of the Councillor for Culture.
The Three Wise Men will also visit the districts of San Javier
El Mirador will welcome their Majesties the Three Wise Men from the East on January 5th at 10:00 in the sports pavilion. There will be a roscón breakfast with chocolate, gifts, inflatables and other activities with the collaboration of the El Mirador Fiestas Commission.
At 17:00, in La Manga del Mar Menor, in Galerías Flamenco, the Three Wise Men will arrive to give presents to the children and enjoy the party with snow and other activities that will continue throughout the afternoon.
They will pass through La Grajuela at 17:30 to celebrate with all the attendees, hand out presents and snack on chocolate with churros.
In Pozo Aledo they will arrive in the afternoon of 5th January at the civic centre, where at 18:30 there will be a snack and gifts for all those attending.
From there they will march to San Cayetano, where at 20:00 the parade will start towards the civic centre, where gifts will be given to the children, and there will be games and snacks for everyone.
Finally, in the hamlet of Roda, the Three Wise Men will arrive at the civic centre on 6 January at 10:00 am for breakfast with Roscón de Reyes and chocolate for all those attending and to recharge their batteries.
