Giant boulders are looming on the road between Albanchez and Cantoria

The PSOE will ask in the Andalusian Parliament for its immediate withdrawal.

The regional MP for the PSOE in Almería, Mateo Hernández Tristán, has denounced the «insecurity» faced by drivers on the busy A-1100 regional road due to the large stones which have been found, for the last two years, on the hard shoulder at kilometre point 52 located between the municipalities of Cantoria and Albanchez.

In the opinion of the Socialist MP, these large stones are «a great danger for vehicles and cyclists who use this road on a daily basis» and at the same time are «another example of the neglect of maintenance of the regional roads in the province of Almeria, which are the responsibility of the Andalusian Government».

Mateo Hernández has demanded that Juanma Moreno’s government proceed to the «immediate» removal of these stones and also take the appropriate action «so that landslides are not repeated at this point as in other parts of the road»; a question that will be raised in the Andalusian Parliament in the near future. The regional Provincial Council deputy wonders «how much more time will it take for the PP leaders to fulfil their responsibility».
