
Los Alcázares Town Council has demonstrated its commitment to sport and the wellbeing of its citizens by investing in the improvement and expansion of the municipality’s sports facilities. Responding to the suggestions of its residents, the local administration seeks to facilitate the exponential growth of the different sports clubs which have experienced notable development in recent years.
Expansion of the municipal sports network
In this context, the alcazareño consistory has decided to expand and improve the network of sports facilities in the municipality. One of the main initiatives is the construction of a new 7-a-side football pitch and a modern Sports Pavilion, with the aim of encouraging the practice of physical exercise and improving the quality of life of the population.

7-a-side football pitch at La Torre Sports Complex
The new 7-a-side football pitch at the La Torre Sports Complex is in the final stages of construction and will be ready for use in the next few weeks. This pitch, a long-standing demand from local sports clubs, will have stands for 120 people and modular changing rooms. It will also be equipped with lighting, irrigation and an ecological material called ecolastén, thus complying with the latest European regulations. The project, valued at 800,000 euros, is financed entirely by Los Alcázares Town Council.

New Sports Pavilion in the municipal Sports Centre
At the same time, the construction of a new Sports Pavilion is planned for the municipal Sports Centre of Los Alcázares. This pavilion, located on the plots adjacent to the existing one, aims to meet the growing demand for spaces for the development of various sporting disciplines. With a surface area of more than 1,500 square metres, this new space will help to improve the performance of the sports complex and increase its use among the population.
The project, with a budget of more than 700,000 euros, has mixed financing, with 150,000 euros being provided by the Autonomous Community and the rest by Los Alcázares Town Council. It is estimated that the new pavilion will be finished before the end of 2024, thus consolidating the municipality’s commitment to sport and the well-being of its inhabitants.
With these initiatives, Los Alcázares Town Council reinforces its commitment to the promotion of local sport and the creation of suitable spaces for the development of physical and sporting activities, thus contributing to improving the quality of life of the community of Los Alcázares.
