The delegate of the Andalusian Regional Government in Almeria, Aránzazu Martín, has presided over the inauguration ceremony of the new territorial delegate of the Regional Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport, Juan José Alonso Bonillo.
In her speech, the delegate emphasised Alonso’s links to public service during his previous periods as a councillor in Almería City Council and stressed that the priorities and needs of the people of Almería «must be the ones that govern our day-to-day work, as we work to be an Administration that is close to the people and is aware of the problems of daily life, which we have to face with hard work, tenacity and honesty».
He also welcomed Juan José Alonso to a «team of territorial delegates prepared with a set roadmap. We have experience and youth, a desire to work and above all, a team of good people who are already giving their all for Almería». «This legislature – he added – is not going to be easy for anyone. The cost increases in energy, products and raw materials in general are marking this year 2024 and in particular we have to be very vigilant to the escalation of prices that families are experiencing».

Aránzazu Martín also referred to the fact that «Almería has more weight than ever in the Andalusian Regional Government and this is thanks to our councillors: Carmen Crespo and Ramón Fernández-Pacheco, who fight every Tuesday in the Governing Council to defend the interests of our province. Almería is today more present than ever in San Telmo».
