A 58 year old worker from the municipality of Albox, fell from a height of more than six metres this Thursday morning.
It happened shortly after 9am in a large factory located in the Terdiguera industrial estate in Albox, when, for reasons which are being investigated, he fell to his death.
According to sources of the incident, the man had to be resuscitated and then evacuated by 061 helicopter to the capital of Almeria and then by ambulance to the University Hospital Torrecárdenas.
The worker remains in the ICU, stable, and awaiting evolution, while the accident has been transferred to the Labour Inspectorate and the Centre for the Prevention of Occupational Hazards.
The Guardia Civil, Local Police and the 112 emergency service have been sent to the scene.
